Sigurd Aarrestad, MEd, Honored with Philips Respironics Fellowship

Sigurd Aarrestad, MEd, who is from Olso, Norway and works at the Olso University Hospital, was honored with the Philips Respironics Fellowship in Mechanical Ventilation. Aarrestad’s abstract Accuracy and Usefulness of Transcutaneous CO2 in Assessing the Efficacy of Treatment of Chronic Hypoventilation with Non-Invasive Ventilation was presented at the AARC Congress OPEN FORUM, and published in the Oct. 2014 Issue of the RESPIRATORY CARE journal.

This fellowship, established in 1993 with a grant from Respironics, Inc., is designed to foster projects dealing with mechanical ventilation, especially outside of the intensive care unit. Projects can be device development, device evaluation, cost effectiveness analysis, or education program.
