Message from the Chair, Michael T. Amato — Recognizing Those Who Contribute to Advancing Respiratory Care

Welcome to our third edition newsletter of the American Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF), which is dedicated to promoting respiratory health through the support of research, education, and patient-focused philanthropic activities in respiratory care. This issue is focused on acknowledging the individuals who received awards in December at the most comprehensive respiratory care meeting in the world—AARC’s International Respiratory Convention & Exhibition at Las Vegas, Nevada.

These individuals contributed to advancing the science of respiratory care through quality abstracts and research. The ARCF received their submissions in 2014 and awarded the following categories–undergraduate student awards, postgraduate student awards, research fellowship awards, abstract awards, achievement awards and literary awards. Each year the ARCF places a value on recognizing these categories to promote continuous scholarly and clinical investigations in respiratory education and science¬, which ensures our long-term commitment of a better, healthier future for all. I encourage all respiratory students or professionals to consider how you, your team or colleagues may also find an opportunity to contribute to respiratory health and participate in these award submissions for 2015. We look forward to seeing your submissions over the coming year. Deadlines for submissions are June 15, 2015.
