Literary Awards

All literary awards are presented by the American Respiratory Care Foundation at the AARC International Respiratory Congress. All papers published in the science journal RESPIRATORY CARE are judged automatically and the selection for awards is based on the decision of the Editorial Board of the Journal. Since all papers are judged automatically, no application is required. For more information, please email jnelson@aarc.org.

Dr. Allen DeVilbiss Literary Award
DeVilbiss Health Care, Inc. has established an endowment to fund the Dr. Allen DeVilbiss Literary Award. This literary award recognizes the best paper published in the science journal RESPIRATORY CARE between November and October. In order to be considered the paper must address new technology or a new application of current technology in respiratory care. The award will consist of a certificate of recognition, airfare, one night lodging and registration for the AARC International Respiratory Congress.

IKARIA Literary Award
IKARIA has established an endowment to fund the IKARIA Literary Award. This literary award recognizes the best paper by a first-time author published in the science journal RESPIRATORY CARE between November and October. The award will consist of a cash award, certificate of recognition, airfare, one night lodging and registration for the AARC International Respiratory Congress.

All literary awards will be presented by the American Respiratory Care Foundation during the ARCF Awards Ceremony. Since all papers are judged automatically, no application is required.
